High Junk Peak is one of the "Three Points" of the Sai Kung district, standing at 344 m alongside Sharp Peak and Tai Yue Ngam Teng. Its summit tapers to a fine point, like the tip of a calligraphy brush. Seen from the sea, the peak takes on the likeness of a fisherman draped in a cape, line cast patiently into the waters below. From the starting point, walk about 100 m to a junction, where the trails diverge toward Tai Miu and Clear Water Bay Road. Follow the direction for Tai Miu. Parts of this section overlap with a mountain bike trail, so please be mindful of passing bikes. Continue for about 1.5 km to an open vantage point, where you can gaze across to Shelter Island and Kau Sai Chau; on the other side, the view stretches toward Tseung Kwan O. After a further 1.3 km, you will reach another junction, where the trails again lead to Tai Miu and Clear Water Bay Road; follow the direction for Tai Miu. After roughly 1 km, the path opens up to reveal the scenery of Clear Water Bay, with the soaring peak of High Junk Peak visible in the distance. Walk on for about 1.8 km, revealing Po Toi O, the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, and Tung Lung Chau— a broad sweep of open bay and striking coastal scenery. A further 600 m brings you to the endpoint of this trail.
